The International Labour Organisation (ILO) on April 10 has given 130,000 USD to central province of Quang Nam to implement a project on child labour prevention.

The project is expected to be carried out in five communes of Dien An, Dien Phuoc, Duy Nghia, Duy Vinh and A Tieng.

As planned, the province will strive by Sep 2012 to provide vocational training to around 1,400 working children working hard, of whom at least 50 percent are girls who dropped out of school or prone to quit school, in order to help them find more suitable jobs.

Additionally, 500 poor families will also receive help to access credit programmes to improve their living conditions./.
