The team beat Kuwait 6-2 on Nov. 15 and Qatar 3-1 on Nov. 16, earning the maximum 6 points and an early ticket to the quarterfinal.
Vietnam are to play the host team of Thailand on Nov. 17.
In judo, Vietnamese athletes brought home two gold medals, one in the women’s 52kg category in kurash by Van Ngoc Tu and another by the duo of Le Thi Thu Mai and Thach Tuan Thanh in the mixed doubles event.
By the end of November 16, the Vietnamese delegation was at the 9 th in the medal table with 2 gold, 4 silver and 10 bronze medals.-VNA
