The project, worth nearly 700 million USD with a daily capacity of around 40,000 tonnes, is the biggest waste treatment and environmental protection project in the southern region.
Located on an area of 1,760 hectares, once operational, the project is expected to employ about 6,000 – 10,000 labourers.
In order to protect the environment and avoid affecting road transport, the VWS plans to transport waste to the complex by waterway.-VNA
