2,150 Vallet scholarships presented to students

2,150 scholarships worth 12 billion VND were granted to outstanding Vietnamese students nationwide, marking the tenth year the Meeting Vietnam Organisation (MVO) has carried out the mission in Vietnam.

On September 3 in Hanoi, the MVO also presented 133 scholarships, each worth 7.5 million VND, to excellent postgraduate students in the northern region.

Earlier, about 500 students from the southern region, 219 students from the central provinces of Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh and Phu Yen and Da Nang city, 225 students from Hue city and 140 from Nghe An province were also awarded with the scholarships.

Since 2001, the Odon Vallet scholarships have been granted to disadvantaged students excelling in study and scientific research. The scholarships were sponsored by Odon Vallet, a doctor of law in France-based Sorbonne University, through MVO, chaired by Vietnamese French Tran Thanh Van./.
