The Embassies of Southeast Asian countries in Argentina organised the ASEAN Family Day 2011 on October 31, drawing the participation of hundreds of Southeast Asian people living in the South American country.

During this year’s event, which was hosted by Vietnam , participants eagerly joined various activities such as sport competitions, arrangement of traditional dishes, martial art performances, games and music shows.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Argentina Nguyen Van Dao spoke highly of the annual cultural exchange activity, saying that it helped strengthen solidarity among Southeast Asian communities in Argentina .

At the end of the exchange, the Vietnamese Ambassador presented the ASEAN flag and challenge cup to the Ambassador of Thailand, the host of ASEAN Family Day 2012.

Indonesia , Malaysia , the Philippines , Thailand and Vietnam have embassies in Argentina. /.
