The Canadian Centre for International Studies and Cooperation (CECI) has
handed over 182 carts, useful in earth moving, for storm victims in Kon
Ray district in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum.
The aid, aimed at helping locals enrich their storm-damaged crop
fields, was valued at 2.7 billion VND. The funding came from the Ireland
Agency for International Development.
The
Canadian not-for-profit organisation also provided victims in the same
district with farm tools and seedlings of short-term crops such as maize
to help them produce a harvest in just three months.
Aid included fertilisers and technical assistance to help increase
crop yields and economic returns while storm-hit areas recover from the
natural disaster.
CECI also covered the repair costs for five school locations and two small irrigation projects./.
