Canon Vietnam presents books to primary school

The Canon Vietnam Company Ltd has donated books and learning aids to Bet Tray primary school in Cam Thach commune, Cam Thuy district, the central province of Thanh Hoa.

The school was built in 2007 under a Canon project to build friendship schools in poor areas.

Kambe Makoto, Senior Manager of Canon Vietnam 's Planning Division, handed over printers, cameras, computers and hundreds of books to the school, as well as 115 gifts to local school children.

With the aim of improving the study environment for teachers and pupils in mountainous districts, the Canon friendship schools chain project has since 2007 helped 30 schools in 16 northern and central provinces to build 75 classrooms, two rooms for teachers and seven standard bathrooms.-VNA
