Deputy Defence Minister receives Austrian guest

Deputy Minister of Defence Sen. Lieut. Gen. Le Huu Duc on April 16 received Helmut Dietrich, Director of Vamed Engineering Company of Austria on his working visit in Vietnam.

At the reception, Helmut Dietrich spoke of the cooperative results between Vamed Engineering Company and the Army Medical Department of the Vietnamese Ministry of Defence in the ODA 15 project, which helped to provide modern health care equipment and build infrastructure for a number of army hospitals in Vietnam .

Deputy Minister Duc thanked the Austrian government and people for their valuable support for Vietnam and the Army Medical Department in particular.

Duc said the ODA 15 project creates strategic development steps for a system of army hospitals in Vietnam and contributes to improving the quality of diagnosis, treatment, science research and training in these facilities.

He said he hopes that Vamed Engineering Company will continue helping the Army Medical Department to implement the next phase of the project in the future.

Since 2004, three phases of the ODA15 project were carried out in Vietnam.-VNA
