The 2nd Great Mekong Sub-region (GMS) International Conference on Public Health opened in the central city of Hue on August 30.

About 50 scientific reports have been delivered during the two-day conference, themed “Challenges and Opportunities in Public Health Research and Training Cooperation in the Globalisation Process”.

The event also provided a chance for delegates to share their research results on existing public health issues in GMS countries, thus seeking measures to strengthen effective public health cooperation in the sub-region in particular and Southeast Asia in general./.
