Gender responsive policy, programme discussed

The Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) cooperated with the UN Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) to hold a dialogue forum on establishing and implementing a gender responsive policy and programme in Hue City on Nov. 28-29.

Addressing the forum, attended by 80 delegates from cites and provinces nationwide,
a representative of MoLISA affirmed the Vietnamese Government has been improving gender equality laws and implementing policies and programmes on gender-related issues and women’s progress.

Delegates discussed the achievements and challenges of gender and gender equality, and shared information from a gender equality study jointly conducted by the Vietnamese Government and the UN./.
