An association in Neuburg town,
Gunzburg district, Bavaria state, Germany , has actively supported
Vietnamese children, who are victims of Agent Orange/dioxin sprayed
during the 1960-1970 war.
In 2009, the association
provided free rehabilitation surgeries for 20 disabled children,
raising the total number it has supported in this way over eight years
to 150.
The association will work closely with the Vietnam Cultural Association
in Neuburg to assist AO children victims, helping them better integrate
into the community, the association’s president Wolfram Heyne said.
Also, it is working with an Australian aid agency named “Children Hope
in Action” to raise funds to build a physiotherapy centre for AO
victims./.
