The German Government will provide assistance worth 1.4 million Euros
(1.86 million USD) to help restore the damages of floods which have been
hitting the southern region since September this year, announced the
Hanoi-based German Embassy on Nov. 28.
Around 400,000
Euros (600,000 USD) will be spent on relief projects conducted by the
Vietnam Red Cross, focusing on food and seeds supply and recovering
submerged agricultural land.
The remainder of the fund
will be used to develop activities with Vietnam, such as projects to
help mitigate the aftermath of floods in the coming time and upgrade
infrastructure damaged by floods./.
