The Grand Duke of Luxembourg Henri attended working sessions with local
officials and an economic and financial workshop in Ho Chi Minh City
on Nov. 10.
At a meeting with Chairwoman of the municipal
People’s Council Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam, the Grand Duke said Luxembourg
firms operating in the city are pleased with their Vietnamese
partners.
He said he believed the two countries’ businesses will cooperate in a positive and more effective manner.
Tam
spoke highly of Luxembourg ’s assistance to Vietnam , including HCM
City , hoping that Luxembourg will continue helping the city
overcome difficulties such as infrastructure, traffic congestion,
environmental pollution and shortage of high-quality human resources.
On
the same day at the workshop, Grand Duke Henri affirmed one of his
purposes in visiting is to promote business and trade ties.
Apart
from Vietnamese and Luxembourg business people operating in Vietnam ,
the economic and financial workshop drew representatives of more than
20 Luxembourg firms accompanying the Grand Duke. They included
companies operating in automatic machines, satellites, aviation,
financing, investment funds, architecture, construction and
eco-technology.
Later in the day, the Grand Duke of Luxembourg Henri and his entourage left HCM City, ending his four-day official visit to Vietnam./.
