The Grand Duke of Luxembourg, Henri, paid a working visit to the central province of Thua Thien-Hue on November 8.

At a reception for the Grand Duke, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Cao said Thua Thien-Hue province has effectively used Luxembourg ’s aid, citing projects on rural development in Quang Dien district and human resource training for the Hue Tourism College as examples.

Luxembourg-funded projects have greatly contributed to the province’s rural transport infrastructure and tourism development, he noted.

Cao expressed his belief that Luxembourg will continue maintaining and providing more aid for Vietnam in general and Thua Thien-Hue province in particular.

Thua Thien-Hue will create favourable conditions for Luxembourg businesses to invest in the locality, especially in tourism, science and technology, and health, he affirmed.

The Grand Duke spoke highly of cooperation between Thua Thien-Hue province and Luxembourg organisations in implementing projects.

Earlier on the same day, in Hanoi , the Luxembourg delegation paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum, laid a wreath at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs as well as visited Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam (the Temple of Literature ).

On Nov. 9, the delegation is scheduled to visit the Tomb of King Tu Duc, the Hue Tourism College and the St Paul de Chartres Orphanage./.
