The Grand Duke of Luxembourg, Henri on Nov. 9 voted for Vietnam’s
tourism hotspot, Ha Long Bay to be recognised as one of the new seven
wonders of the world, during his working visit to Hue Tourism College
(HUTC).
The visit is part of the Grand Duke’s activities in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue .
HUTC was built and equipped through the assistance of the Luxembourg
government, importantly contributing to training high-quality human
resources for the tourism sector of Thua Thien-Hue province and the
central region.
Luxembourg pledged to
continue with high-quality cooperative training programmes for teachers,
along with assistance for upgrading infrastructure and assessing the
training demand.
On the same day, Minister of
Development, Cooperation and Humanitarian Action of Luxembourg, Marie
Josee Jacobs handed over 100,000 EUR in emergency aid to the province to
help local people cope with the aftermath of floods./.
