Kuwait Fund provides loans to Dien Bien road project

The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development will provide 14 million USD in loans to the Cha To-Muong Tung road project in the northern mountainous province of Dien Bien .

An agreement to the effect was signed in Hanoi on March 12 by Finance Deputy Minister Tran Xuan Ha and the fund’s Deputy Director-General Hesham Al-Waqayan.

Through the fund, the Kuwait State has provided loans worth 34 million Kuwaiti dinars (124 million USD) to eight projects in Vietnam .

The loans are focused on small irrigation and traffic works in poor provinces. The Dau Tieng and Van Dinh irrigation projects and the Dac Ta-Ngoc Linh road projects have been put into operation./.
