Lao province’s delegation visits HCM City

Secretary of the HCM City Party Committee Le Thanh Hai on August 11, received a visiting delegation from Laos ’ Khammouan province led by its Governor Khambay Damlat.

Appreciating Khammouan province’s past socio-economic achievements, Hai said he hopes that the province will harvest greater achievements in the future, particularly in poverty reduction.

The Khammouan governor informed the host of the results of his working visit to Vietnam , especially the help provided by the central provinces to Khammouan in human resource training.

Quang Tri province has trained more than 500 Khammouan students, while its neighbour Quang Binh has built the first Vietnam-Laos friendship primary school, he said.

According to Khambay Damlat, the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site in Khammouan province will be inaugurated in December this year. The province will build a complex of statues of Laos-Vietnam allied troops in the near future.-VNA
