More State offices to move to suburbs

Hanoi plans to move the head offices of 11 more Government ministries from the inner city to conform with the city’s master construction plan. This brings the total number of ministries moved to 19.

The latest ministries on the move are Construction; Planning and Investment; Information and Communication; Justice; Transport; Health; Education and Training; Agriculture and Rural Development; Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs and the General Statistics Office.
Hanoi ’s department of planning and architecture reported that nearly 100 ha of land had been set aside for the new ministry building in Ho Tay and Tu Liem districts.
The head offices already on the move are the ministries of Home Affairs; Science and Technology; Public Security; Foreign Affairs; Natural Resources and Environment; Government Inspectorate; Superme People’s Procuracy; and the Supreme People’s Court.
When the work is completed, it will pen up more than 50 hectares of prime land in the city area.
It will be used to develop infracture and public works serving the community.-VNA
