National Assembly delegation visits Laos

National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong was received by Lao National Assembly Chairman Pany Yathotu in Vientiane on Nov. 30, during her visit to Laos.

NA Chairman Yathotu thanked the Vietnamese Party, State and people for their recent assistance to the Lao people and its legislative body.

He described the Vietnamese legislature’s assistance in building the Lao NA office as an invaluable gift, manifesting the strength of the close relationship between the two countries.

NA Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong said she believed that the Lao people will reap more achievements during their renewal process under the leadership of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party.

She also took this occasion to thank the Lao Party, Government and people for their support, affirming that the Vietnamese Party, Government and National Assembly will do their utmost to foster the special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos .

The same day, Vice NA Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong laid a wreath at the monument of unknown fallen soldiers in Vientiane and visited the Vietnamese Embassy.

During her visit to Laos from Nov. 30 to Dec. 3, Phong and the Vietnamese NA delegation will attend a ceremony to hand over the new office to the Lao NA./.
