PM Dung spoke highly of outcomes of the visit to Vietnam by Crown Prince Willem Alexander and a Dutch business mission last March, saying that the trip opened up new opportunities to promote bilateral cooperation in the five prioritised areas of climate change resilience and water resource management, agriculture, seaport, oil and gas and logistic service.

He expressed his pleasure at the development in the two countries’ economic cooperation, trade and investment, adding he wishes the Dutch Monarchy and the Crown Prince continue to encourage and create conditions for Dutch companies to set up stable, long-lasting trade and investment partnership with Vietnam .
Dung also asked the Crown Prince to continue to support cooperation programmes between Vietnam and the Netherlands within their strategic partnership framework.

Crown Prince Willem Alexander highly valued the official visit to the Netherlands by PM Dung and said the two countries share the same challenges in coping with climate change and rising sea water level.

He expressed his pleasure that the two countries have been building an efficient, strategic cooperation programme in coping with climate change and water resource management.

Crown Prince Willem Alexander discussed with PM Dung issues relating to climate change and its impacts on the Netherlands and Vietnam .

Also the same day, PM Dung met with Rotterdam Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb, praising the model of cooperation between Rotterdam city and Ho Chi Minh City with a focus on cooperation in climate change adaptation.

He affirmed the Vietnamese Government pursues the policy of pushing up all-round cooperation with the Netherlands and encourages localities of the two countries to cooperate in economics, trade and investment.

In addition to HCM City , several Vietnamese seaport cities want to enhance cooperation and share experience with Rotterdam in the fields of sea-born economy, seaport and logistics, flood control technology experience, and water resource management.

Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb said his city always wants to expand multi-faceted cooperation with Vietnamese localities and wishes the Vietnamese Government create favourable conditions for the city’s firms to invest in Vietnam , particularly in seaport, logistics and water management.
