A delegation of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation is visiting Canada from Oct. 3-6.
The
delegation has held working sessions with the Canadian Parliament’s
Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights, the Citizenship and
Immigration Canada (CIC)’s Multiculturalism Policy Department and the
Canadian Human Rights Commission’s International Relations and Policy
Department.
At a meeting with overseas Vietnamese in Ottawa on
the evening of Oct. 3, the deputy head of the commission, Tran Thi Bich
Thuy stressed that the Vietnamese Party and State always consider
overseas Vietnamese abroad an inseparable part of the Vietnamese
community, and acknowledge their contributions to their home country.
The delegation will also visit Toronto, one of the three cities that have the largest number of overseas Vietnamese./.
