Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, along with his wife and entourage, arrived in the Dutch capital city of Amsterdam on Sept. 27, beginning an official visit to the country from Sept. 27 to Oct. 1.

On the afternoon of the same day, PM Dung visited the International Court of Justice, the Vietnamese Embassy in the Netherlands and met with representatives of the Overseas Vietnamese community in the country.

The delegation’s visit to the Netherlands was made at a time when Vietnam and the Netherlands continued to see fine development in cooperation, especially the two countries’ establishment of a strategic partnership on climate change and water management.

The nations also determined five priority fields for future cooperation, including adaptation to climate change and water management, agriculture, oil and gas, seaport and logistics.

Two-way trade reached almost 2 billion USD last year and more than 900 million USD in the first six months of this year.

With 153 projects worth 5.6 billion USD, the Netherlands is currently Vietnam’s largest European investor and ranks 11 th out of 92 countries and territories investing in Vietnam./.
