Thailand has been voted one of the top-3 popular destinations in
Asia and South-Pacific for American honeymooners, according to National
News Bureau of Thailand (NNT).
The information was released by the Bridal Guide magazine, a leading US publication on wedding and honeymoon.
NNT quoted the Deputy Governor of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT),
Juthaporn Rerngronasa, as saying that such a recognition will greatly
benefit Thailand 's tourism industry, with many more American
travellers likely to visit the country in the future.
The TAT
offices in New York and Los Angeles will continue to execute the
aggressive market penetration plan in the US , with various trade
shows and road shows.
TAT also plans to invite
representatives from travel agencies in the US and members of the press
to visit Thailand so that they can have better ideas on why the Land of
Smiles should make a perfect destination for American travellers./.
