UN Chief greets VN’s National Day

UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon has extended his warmest greetings to President Nguyen Minh Triet on the occasion of the 65th National Day of Vietnam (Sept. 2).

In his August 27 message, the UN chief affirmed that "With your support, we can meet the threats of our time and build a more prosperous, equitable and sustainable world for all."

He also expressed his hope that all the UN members will mobilise their collective energies to meet the Millennium Development Goals by 2015.

The UN can rely on Vietnam’s support in all the former’s endeavours, he said.-
