VN, Chinese Parties hold theoretical talks

The 7 th Theoretical Workshop between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Communist Party of China (CPC) opened in Jiangsu province, China on Nov. 28.

The CPV delegation to the three-day event was led by Dinh The Huynh, Politburo member, Chairman of the Theoretical Council and Head of the Commission for Popularisation and Education of the CPV Central Committee, while the CPC delegation was headed by Liu Yunshan, Politburo member and Head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Hoang Binh Quan, Head of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations, and Wang Jiarui, Head of the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee, emphasised the importance and practicality of the workshop’s theme for the revolutionary cause, renewal process and reforms in both Vietnam and China .

In his speech at the opening ceremony, Huynh introduced Ho Chi Minh Thought as well as the standpoints, experience and achievements of the CPV in people-related affairs.

He stressed the extremely important position and role of the people, a factor that ensures the success of the revolutionary cause of Vietnam over historic stages.

The official pointed out shortcomings and great challenges facing the public-related affairs, as well as putting forward orientations and measures to overcome these shortcomings.

Huynh emphasised the need to improve the awareness of the great role and strength of the people and renovate the Party’s leadership methods for mass mobilisation.

Meanwhile, Liu’s speech highlighted CPC’s lessons and experience in the public-regarding work over the past 90 years.

During the first day of the event, Vietnamese and Chinese theorists and scientists presented and exchanged views on six topics.

At a meeting between the heads of the CPV and CPC delegations prior to the workshop, the two officials affirmed the importance of the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States and two peoples.

They also stressed the practical significance of theoretical cooperation between the two Parties during the renewal, openness and socialism building process in Vietnam and China .

The two officials also discussed measures to strengthen cooperation between the Commission for Popularisation and Education of the CPV Central Committee and the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee./.
