The Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) and the Czech Parliament need to strengthen mutual support and cooperation in legislative activities in the future.

Chairman of the Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs of the Senate of the Czech Republic, Miroslav Antl made this statement at a meeting with NA Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu in Hanoi on Sept. 27.

NA Vice Chairman Luu said that Vietnam and the Czech Republic had a long-standing friendship and the two legislative bodies had a solid foundation for cooperation.

Luu said he hoped the Czech Parliament and the Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs of the Senate of the Czech Republic would promote cooperation in building and perfecting law with the Vietnamese NA, contributing to enhancing friendship between the two countries.

He also said he believed the delegation’s visit would make important contributions to fostering and increasing understanding between the two legislative bodies and the two peoples./.
