VN Defence Academy’s officers visits India

A delegation of the Vietnam Defence Academy led by its Director Lieut. Gen. Vo Tien Trung began a visit to India on Nov. 14 as guests of the Indian Military Academy (IMA).

Right after its arrival, the delegation met Lieut. Gen. N.K Singh, Deputy Chief of the Integrated Defence Staff of the Indian Armed Forces, and V.F Tonk, Director of Military Training Department.

At theses meetings, Trung briefed on Vietnam ’s all-people defence policy, affirming that Vietnam neither use force to solve international differences nor rely any country to oppose other nations.

He said Vietnam pursues a policy of settling divergences through peaceful measures as well as diversification and multilateralisation of relations. Vietnam wants to become a reliable partner of all countries across the world, Trung added.

Lieut. Gen. N.K Singh also introduced India ’s strategic views on defence to the Vietnamese delegation.

On Nov. 15, the delegation called at the Indian Military Academy where leaders of the two academies agreed to exchange visits of high-ranking officers, lecturers and cadets.

While in India , the Vietnamese guests visited a number of other academies and training establishments of the Indian armed forces./.
