A Vietnam-Denmark workshop on green growth to promote experience sharing
and technology transfer between the two countries took place in Hanoi
on Nov. 28.
The event was jointly organised by
the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE) and the
Danish Embassy in Vietnam , on the occasion of the 40 th anniversary
of Vietnam-Denmark diplomatic ties and the official visit of Danish
Crown Prince Frederik to Vietnam .
Speaking at
the workshop, Deputy Minister of MNRE Tran Hong Ha highlighted the
potential for cooperation between the two countries, saying that
Vietnam is seeking sustainable economic development models which do
not adversely affect biodiversity.
He added
Vietnam will focus on strengthening cooperation in clean and
environmentally friendly technology transfer biofuel and green growth in
the future.
Pia Olsen Dyhr, Danish Minister of
Trade and Investment, said Danish enterprises are interested in
developing trade and economic partnerships with Vietnam , especially
through technological assistance for coping with climate change and
fostering green growth.
Danish experts spoke about
measures to save energy, such as taking advantage of wind energy,
encouraging use of clean energy, applying green technology for cement
production and designing green buildings./.
