VN, Switzerland agree to facilitate enterprises

Vietnam and Switzerland will create favourable conditions for their enterprises to boost exchanges and invest in each other’s country.

Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai and his guest Swiss State Secretary for Economic Affairs Marie-Gabrielle Ineichen-Fleisch affirmed their governmental viewpoints when they met in Hanoi on Nov. 16.

Deputy PM Hai expressed his pleasure at the fine development of the two countries’ relations in many fields.

Among European nations, Switzerland ranks second in trade relations with Vietnam and fourth in investment.

Deputy PM Hai said that the two countries need to boost cooperation in economics, trade, investment, education and training, which demonstrate great potential for cooperation.

He thanked the Swiss government and people for their cooperation and assistance to Vietnam for many years, especially their commitment to continue providing official development assistance (ODA) till 2016.

Marie-Gabrielle Ineichen-Fleisch said that Vietnam is among seven ODA prioritised recipients of Switzerland.

She said the Swiss entrepreneurs accompanying her to Vietnam are eager to study investment opportunities and cooperate with Vietnam in banking, energy and environmental sectors./.
