VN ranks third as SEA Games wraps up

The 26 th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 26) wrapped up in Indonesia on Nov. 22 with Vietnam finishing third in the medal tally, after host Indonesia and Thailand .

After 12 days of competition, Vietnamese athletes brought home a total of 288 medals, including 96 gold, 92 silver and 100 bronze medals.

SEA Games 26 is the largest event of its kind with 43 sporting events and 545 sets of medals.

Vietnam sent an 868-strong delegation to the event, including 608 athletes who competed in 36 official events and one demonstration event./.
