The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and the People’s Committee of northern Quang Ninh province signed an agreement in Hanoi on August 22, in a bid to promote more local images via VNA’s media from now until 2015.

Addressing the ceremony, VNA General Director Nguyen Duc Loi spoke highly of the province’s role in national socio-economic development as well as its recent dynamic growth. He said the VNA will continue promoting the local images and people to audiences at home and abroad.

Nguyen Van Doc, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee, said the signing will contribute to further raising each side’s responsibility for information, helping the province become a modern industrial locality by 2015.

Under the agreement, the two sides will closely work together to provide the latest information about the locality. The VNA will build a multi-lingual portal featuring the province’s new policies on attracting investment, socio-economic development and national security and defence.

Additionally, the VNA will also cover local issues such as education, sport, tourism, and transport, contributing to introducing the province’s potential to investors.-VNA
