President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations Vu Xuan Hong received David Nieves Velasquez Caraballo, Venezuelan Foreign Relations Vice-Minister for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania, in Hanoi on August 13.

At the reception, Hong affirmed that the Vietnamese people always remember Venezuela ’s support for their country in the past struggle for national independence as well as the current national development.

He spoke highly of Vietnamese-Venezuelan cooperation and shared views on the role of in the people foreign activities in strengthening solidarity and friendship among nations of the world.

The Venezuelan diplomat said that historical factors connecting the two nations in the past will be foundations for developing bilateral ties.

Both host and guest expressed their belief that the solidarity, friendship and cooperation between the Vietnamese and Venezuelan people will be further developed in the future.-VNA
