Vietnam, Czech Republic enhance legal ties

Vietnam wants to promote cooperation in building and perfecting legal procedures with the Parliament of the Czech Republic in the near future.

Phan Trung Ly, Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Law Committee made the statement at the talks with Miroslav Antl, Chairman of the Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs of the Senate of the Czech Republic , in Hanoi on Sept. 26, on the occasion of the latter’s visit to Vietnam from Sept. 25 to Oct. 1.

Ly spoke highly of the Czech delegation’s visit to Vietnam , saying it contributes to further promoting friendship between the two countries and legislative bodies.

Antl said the Czech Republic wants to develop cooperation and traditional friendship with Vietnam , especially cooperation between the two legislative bodies.

He also expressed his desire to find out about the law adoption process of the Vietnamese NA as well as its function and rights over activities of judicial agencies, and Vietnam ’s laws and policies to develop its rural economy.

The same day, the Czech delegation held working sessions with leaders of the Supreme People’s Procuracy, the Supreme People’s Court and the Ministry of Justice./.
