Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of National
Defence has expressed his wish that France-Vietnam military cooperation
continue to develop for the mutual benefit of the two countries’ armies
and people.
Receiving the co-president of the
Vietnam-France joint committee on National Defence Cooperation, Laurent
Bili, Deputy Minister Sen. Lt. Gen Nguyen Khac Nghien said he
considered the French official’s visit a valuable opportunity for the
two countries to exchange experience and explore possible areas of
cooperation in national defence.
Nghien, who is also Chief of General Staff of the Vietnam People’s
Army, said the two countries’ military cooperation has achieved
fruitful results in training, exchanges of delegations, medical
research and air force.
For his part, Bili expressed his pleasure upon his second working visit
to Vietnam and talked about the outcome of the joint committee’s
meeting.
He hoped that agreements reached during the working session would soon be put into action./.
