Vietnam’s Day begins in Belgium

Vietnam Day began in Brussels , Belgium , on Sept. 2 to mark the National Day of Vietnam (Sept. 2) and the upcoming 1,000th birthday of Hanoi .

A photo exhibition on the Vietnamese people and land opened as the first activity of the event.

Forty photos by popular Vietnamese photographers introduced the charms of the country and people, as well as the attractiveness of their culture and tourism.

On Sept. 3, a performance of Vietnamese folk arts was due to be held, giving audiences a chance to enjoy “quan ho” singing (love duets), which was recognised by UNESCO as one of the world’s intangible cultural properties./.
