The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Nordic Development Fund (NDF) will help Vietnam draw up and carry out detailed action plans to cope with climate change.

Accordingly, NDF will provide nun-refundable technical assistance worth 2.5 million USD for Ho Chi Minh City , Da Nang city, Thanh Hoa province, the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to work out plans and implement measures to adapt to climate change. The sum will be managed by ADB.

The Vietnamese government will shoulder the project’s corresponding capital of 250,000 USD, ADB in Hanoi reported on February 9.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade is assigned to execute the two-year project, which is expected to begin in May 2011./.
