Vietnamese Ambassador to Tanzania Vo Thanh Nam has affirmed that he will do his utmost to contribute to deepening the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Kenya.

Nam stated this during a recent meeting with Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyetta, during which he presented his credentials to the host.

On the occasion, the ambassador conveyed Vietnamese leaders’ invitation to Kenyetta to visit Vietnam in the coming time.

Earlier, Nam paid a courtesy visit to Cabinet Secretary for Kenya’s Foreign Affairs and International Trade Amina C. Mohamed, and met with several other officials.

During the meetings, the diplomat said he hopes that the two countries will work to further promote their ties, especially in economics, telecommunications and trade.

He also suggested that the two sides should continue supporting each other at multilateral forums, while creating favourable conditions for enterprises from both nations to bolster links and set up partnerships.-VNA
