Authorities of the southern province of An Giang have visited and congratulated the Central Executive Committee of Hoa Hao Buddhism on the occasion of the 96th birth anniversary of the sect’s founder.
Illustrative Image (Photo: VNA)An Giang (VNA) – Authorities of the southern province of An Giang have visited and congratulated the Central Executive Committee of Hoa Hao Buddhism on the occasion of the 96th birth anniversary of the sect’s founder, Prophet Huynh Phu So (November 25).
Representatives from the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front paid their visits from December 31, 2015 – January 2, 2016.
They expressed hope that dignitaries and followers of Hoa Hao Buddhism would continue to stay united and join charitable activities, contributing to the local development.
Hoa Hoa Buddhism currently has 391 executive committees in 17 cities and provinces and over 2 million followers nationwide, mostly in An Giang.-VNA
