Hanoi (VNA) - The fifth International Trade Fair for Laboratory Technology, Analysis, Biotechnology and Diagnostics (Analytica Vietnam 2017) kicked off in Hanoi on March 29.

The event was jointly organised by the National Agency for Science and Technology Information (NASATI) under the Ministry of Science and Technology and Germany’s IMAG fairs organisation.

Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Viet Thanh said the exhibition allows scientific and technological organizations, businesses and hospitals, as well as analysis, testing and diagnose service facilities to gain access to the latest global technologies and equipment, while expanding cooperation, reforming technologies, and developing business production.

Analytica is one of the activities to promote the development of the hi-tech market and help local organizations and individuals directly access foreign suppliers of modern equipment to avoid risks in commercial transactions and technology transfer.
Director of German Messe Munchen Group Susanne Groedl said Analytica Vietnam 2017 sees strong growth in both quality and quantity of participating stands, which indicates the local development potential in this field.
All participating countries pin hope in the development of Vietnam in the future, she added.
Thematic workshops on environmental analysis were held after the opening ceremony.
Analytica Vietnam 2017 draws 120 companies from 17 countries and territories, including Germany, France, the UK, Japan, the US, Italy, the Republic of Korea, and Singapore.

A new point of Analytica Vietnam 2017 is the establishment of a multinational pavilion of Germany, China and Singapore.

The fair introduces equipment and services in the fields of technology analysis, measurement, examination and management technologies, lab and bio-technology.-VNA
