Gutierrez led a Party delegation to visit Vietnamese acupuncturists
working in the northern Mexico city of Monterrey.
The visit was made on the occasion of the 36th anniversary of the Day of Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification (April 30) and International Workers’ Day.
Speaking at the meeting, General Secretary Alberto Anaya Gutierrez spoke highly of Vietnam ’s great victory in 1975, saying the victory was a great source of encouragement to the Latin American left wing movement, including Mexico , at that time.
He also hailed specific steps in friendship and bilateral cooperation between the Vietnam Communist Party and Mexican Labour Party and wished the Vietnamese Party, Government and people greater achievements in implementing the Resolution of the 11 th National Party Congress, helping Vietnam to become an industrialised country by 2020.
The Vietnam Veteran Association in Berlin-Brandenburg, Germany on April 30 also held a meeting to celebrate the 36th anniversary of the Day of Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification and International Workers’ Day./.
