The 44th ASEAN Economic Ministers’ Meeting (AEM 44) and related meetings will be held in Siem Reap , Cambodia from Aug. 25 to Sept. 1.
According to a press release from Cambodia 's Ministry of Commerce on August 4, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen will open the AEM 44 on Aug. 27.
The meeting will discuss topics relating to trade liberalisation and economic cooperation among the 10 ASEAN member states and with dialogue countries including China , the Republic of Korea , Japan , Australia , New Zealand , India , the United States , Canada and Russia .
The ASEAN economic ministers will have joint meetings with the ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA) Council and the ASEAN Investment Area (AIA) Council.
There will also be a consultation meeting between ASEAN economic ministers and the head of the World Intellectual Property Organisation.
The ASEAN-US Business Summit and Cambodia's Garment and Textile Expo will be also held on this occasion./.VNA
