This was determined during a working visit of a delegation of the ASEAN Commission on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Women and Children (ACWC) to the EU headquarters in Brussels from February 18-22.
In the framework of the visit, the delegation held discussions with senior EU officials for human rights, democracy and human development issues to exchange experience and policies in promoting women and children’s rights and seek for cooperation between the two regions on the field .
The visit also permitted the ACWC delegation to better understand the EU institutions, mechanisms, instruments and policy priorities relating to the issue.-VNA
