The outcomes of the forum will be reviewed at SOMSWD 8, which will begin a few days later.

The forum shared the same theme as SOMSWD 8, ‘promoting social welfare and security for disadvantaged people,’ to boost efforts by ASEAN and the global community to develop and expand social welfare.

The participants also discussed social security programmes and initiatives to improve social welfare currently being carried out by member countries as well as public access to social services in each country.
