The ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN BAC) has decided to increase the number of categories in the Most Admired ASEAN Enterprises Award this year to recognise the youth’s role in and contributions to economic development.

To guarantee the quality and independence of the prestigious award, ASEAN BAC has collaborated with the audit, tax and advisory provider of KPMG to promote the event throughout the ASEAN region, and assess and select the nominees.

The ASEAN Business Awards (ABA) were launched by the ASEAN BAC in an effort to bridge Governments and the private sector in the region, as well as to recognise the most outstanding and successful ASEAN companies contributing to the region’s prosperity and economic growth.

Since they began in 2007, the annual awards have recognised more than 60 companies across the region. They are respected and liked, and excel in the categories of Growth, Employment, Innovation and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The awards will be presented at the Gala Dinner of the 2013 ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (ASEAN BIS) in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei, between August 22 and 24.-VNA
