The Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico joined its counterparts of Indonesia , Malaysia , the Philippines and Thailand at the annual fair, which is held to promote cultural exchanges, as well as highlighting the land and people of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations member countries.
It is also aimed at raising funds to support education organisations and the poor, especially women, in Mexico .
Last year’s event collected some 21,000 peso (1,470 USD) contributed by visitors to aid a primary school, a women protection association and a charity society in the country./.
