The Fourth Asia-Europe Meeting of Ministers for Education (ASEMME4) will focus on four key topics, among others the university-business cooperation in efforts to strengthen cooperation between Asian and European countries.

Malaysia’s State news agency Bernama quoted Higher Education Department Director-General Professor Dr Morshidi Sirat as saying that other three topics will be on the quality assurance and recognition, mobility and lifelong learning, including vocational education and training.

Some 148 participants comprising Education Ministers and senior officers from 32 Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) member countries, including seven organisations, are attending the three-day ASEMME4 which kicked off on May 12.

ASEMME4 is a joint collaboration between the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia and ASE M Education Secretariat, themed "Strategising ASEM Education Collaboration" to reflect the spirit and purpose of the meeting to enhance educational collaboration.-VNA
