Vietnamese athletes won two bronze medals at the 17th Asian Games (ASIAD 17) in Incheon, the Republic of Korea, on September 26.

Swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien won her second bronze medal at ASIAD 17 in the women’s 200m backstroke event. She finished her race in 2’12”25, just after Japan’s Sayaka Akase and China’s Jie Chen.

Her first bronze medal was secured on September 23 in the women’s 400m individual medley.

The same day, shooter Nguyen Thi Thu Hang bagged a bronze in the women’s individual 10m running target event.

As of 8pm on September 26, Vietnam ranked 13th in the medal table with one gold, six silver and 18 bronze medals. China still dominated the rankings with 91 golds, followed by the Republic of Korea with 31 golds and Japan with 30 golds.-VNA
