Famous bands and singers from the Pacific Rim gathered at the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) TV Song Festival 2013 in Hanoi on October 26.

Sistar, selected by KBS TV as the Rublic of Korea’s (RoK) only representative, presented their song Give it to Me while performing an eye-catching dance routine.

Australia’s broadcaster SBS introduced the band Justice Crew, winners of the fourth season of Australia’s Got Talent. The group performed their 5-time platinum single Boom Boom and their latest single Best Night.

Hosts Vietnam also amazed audiences by presenting hits sung by Vietnam Idol 2010 runner-up Van Mai Huong and popular rock band Ngu Cung.

Each of the union’s members selected an act to perform, including Japan, Thailand China, Malaysia, Iran and Singapore, among many others. Each was well received by the audience.

The first ABU TV Song Festival took place in the RoK’s Seoul in 2012.

This year’s event is an important sideline activity of the ongoing 50th ABU General Assembly in Hanoi.
