Hanoi (VNA) – At least four people have been killed and 23 others injured in a grenade explosion on March 25 in Jolo, the Sulu Islands, in the south of the Philippines.

Colonel Cirilito Sobejana, who commanded the Joint Task Force Sulu, said a suspect threw a grenade into a bakery shop at 19:00 on March 25, instantly killing three people and injuring 20 others.

The injured were rushed to a local hospital and one with the severe wounds died on the morning of March 26.

Sobejana said policemen apprehended the suspect and are investigating the case.-VNA
