German auto parts maker Robert Bosch announced on June 5 it plans to increase its investment in Vietnam to 322 million USD by 2015 to expand its plant in Long Thanh, southern Dong Nai Province .

The managing director of Robert Bosch Vietnam , Vo Quang Hue, said the expansion of the plant, which makes push belts used for continuously variable transmission in automobiles, is to meet rising global demand.

The 73 million USD production facility began operation in April last year, and by August the company had put in it a total of 136 million USD.-VNA
